SVR 2024 Winter Steam Gala - 7th January (Part 1)

Описание: In January 2024 the Severn Valley Railway ran its inaugural Winter Steam Gala, and a momentous occasion it was too.

The gala would see one locomotive, LMS Ivatt 4MT 2-6-0 no. 43106 bid farewell as her boiler ticket expired, while another locomotive, LMS Stanier 5MT 2-6-0 no. 13268 (running in her other LMS livery as no. 2968), re-entered traffic having been overhauled over the last decade.

I was actually in a bit of a rush to get to the train in time at Kidderminster, so the first bit I managed to film was when I alighted at Bewdley. This video takes in my journey up to Eardington to watch 43106 pass through climbing the bank up towards Bridgnorth, which didn't disappoint!

Visiting S160 no. 2253 'Omaha was meant to take part but was ruled out due to issues.
