‘When it rains it pours and the wind moves about,’ the owner of the local mechanic and bush pantry says. The Cook Shire council in far north Queensland is reporting floods have closed five roads and hundreds of customers are without power. The council estimates power outages have left 73 customers without electricity in Coen plus 105 more farther south
