Well ... the answer is that BSD are no more. Now it's time for Colombo to embark on a new solo chapter and he's no longer involved with his former group. If you see any new BSD tunes emerging from here on in, be assured it won't be the old BSD we knew and loved that you're listening to. While that's all sad news for the breaks scene as a whole, it's good news for iBreaks Records, because Colombo has signed a deal to release his forthcoming solo material on the label. Think peak era Hybrid with a deeper, 2011 vibe, soundtrack-style strings and piano lines backed with chunky beats and snatches of ethnic vocal. This is on a level way beyond anything you've heard before from Colombo, and in these days of disposable music it's the kind of tune that's going to be in your record box for years. On the flip, CousCous takes us into even more introspective territory. This is a deep, tribal progressive roller with a strong eastern flavour - another highly ambitious track from an artist at the peak of his powers.
