Bala Kondarayana Durgam (or Balagondarayanadurgam) is a hill fort near Melumalai/Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, featuring a 17th-century Vishnu temple atop a rocky peak. Located ~70km from Bengaluru, it is a popular short trek accessible via well-laid steps, offering scenic views and requiring about 45–60 minutes to climb.
Deity: Venu Gopala Swami (Lord Vishnu).
Location: Melumalai, on the Hosur-Krishnagiri highway.
Best Time to Visit: Saturdays (temple is officially open for worship, though accessible otherwise).
