Having opened the case and dismantled everything in the lower section of this eight track portastudio in the previous two videos, in this part we will dismantle the upper section which consists of the mixer, input sockets, monitor board, transport controls, LCD display and cassette door. This should be all the reconnaissance you need to be able to go about cleaning and repairing your 488 Mark 1.
