Electricity is supplied from the city of La Ligua where there’s schools, hospitals, many veterinarians and large supermarkets. Clean spring water is brought in with a truck that fills a 3400 liter water tank. For cooking and hot water, you can buy gas cylinders at the local shop, a few blocks away. The property is approximately 2700 square meters. A new roof was installed on the steep ceilings, early in 2025, a new staircase the end of 2025.

Though Huaquen Del Mar has 70 oceanfront plots, less than 15 houses have been built. Two others double size are currently for sale in the $300,000 range. Neither have houses.

We spent three nights at the cabin. The cabin was in perfect conditions. We liked very much the beautiful view and the feeling of being completely isolated. We would like to go back in the future. The room has enough comfort (nice bed, own bath, hot water, a shared kitchen) ... the only thing we missed was a little table in the terrace to enjoy the view while we were having a tea or wine :)
The views are out of this world with the ocean just at our
feet, invigorating, inspiring and a joy to find such a stunning but
comfortable house. We sat on the deck sipping cocktails and were entertained by sea lions playing in the surf! The house itself is delightful—quirky, original and very comfy. To be able to lie in bed and see the ocean first thing in the morning was superb. We cannot recommend it enough and really cannot find fault with anything. The only comment I have is two nights are not enough, we could quite easily have stayed there for months.
