The capital city of Kentucky, Frankfurt, is definitely a city you should consider visiting – especially if you find yourself passing through the Bluegrass State.

Located along the banks of the Kentucky River, Frankfurt is a town that offers a little something for everyone. Whether you're interested in exploring museums, galleries, and gorgeous public parks or eager to sample Kentucky's famous selection of Bourbon, Frankfurt has just about all the bases covered.

Frankfurt is just a short drive to neighboring cities such as Lexington, Cincinnati, and Louisville, which means that it makes for a pretty phenomenal base if you're visiting this region of the country. And if you're a nature lover, the nearby Daniel Boone National Forest is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places on this side of the continental divide. There you can spend countless hours hiking, kayaking, bouldering, and even bird-watching!
