I spent a Christmas getaway in a wellness hotel in Shepherds Bush, West London, and realized on Christmas Day, that I am 5 minutes walking distance from Queens Park Rangers' stadium - a former Premier League ground well hidden among some terraced housing and council blocks. Everything was closed that day, so I could check it from outside only - a friendly, bit outdated, but still nice stadium of a once better team - that had coaches like Terry Venables and Harry Redknapp, and players like Rio Ferdinand (who ended his playing carreer with QPR), former England striker Les Ferdinand, and the Hungarian magician Akos Buzsaky (and many more).
