ਜੰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਣਾ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਲ ਜਦੋਂ ਦੂਲੇ ਦੀ ਬਾਰਾਤ (ਜੰਜ) ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕੁੜੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਘਰ ਵੱਲ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਇਕ ਰਸਮਾਤਮਕ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਤੇ ਰੌਣਕਦਾਰ ਮੌਕਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਬੈਂਡ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦੂਲਾ ਸਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਨੱਚਦੇ-ਗਾਂਦੇ ਬਾਰਾਤ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਰਸਮ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਆਹ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ||ready and sets off toward the bride’s home.
