DONETSK, KHARKOV BATTLE: Moscow Says Forces Advancing Deeper Into Ukrainian Defensive Positions

In its daily briefing, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that troops from multiple Russian military groupings struck Ukrainian brigades across the Sumy, Kharkov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions. Moscow claimed hundreds of Ukrainian troops were killed across several engagements and said its air defence systems intercepted missiles, HIMARS rockets and hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles. The ministry also reported strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure, drone launch sites and logistics facilities. Ukraine has not independently confirmed these claims, and battlefield reports from both sides of the war remain difficult to verify.
