This is a Single-Segment playthrough of RE4 Remake on Professional difficulty with S+ ranking without making a single save, collecting all treasures, completing all requests, and S ranking and 100% collection on all shooting range stages. A single save is made after finishing the game for the sake of proof. Additionally, I didn't use the rocket launcher or any glitches throughout this whole playthrough.
I took a look around and I didn't find any playthroughs, challenge runs or speedruns doing this in one sitting - whether because it's too hard or too trivial, I'm not sure, but it's probably the first of its kind. To give it some extra spice, I decided to do it without saving to give myself a healthy challenge.
Village: first village fight was kind of a mess, got bad RNG on the ladder bunchup and had to shotgun a lot more enemies, and also use my flash to get out of it. Valley was meh, but I'm fine using my G+R+Y herbs early, although if I don't take damage I could sell them for 10k a pop - 20k if you get lucky and roll a Rhinoceros Beetle charm early from the shooting range. You could see me sell the first aid sprays for 5k a piece as well, since you don't really need them and the early money is much better for upgrading the rifle. Chapter 5 got out of hand but since the rifle is OP when maxed out I could solve the village and cabin easily.
Castle: water hall is always a shitshow if you don't use flashes or don't get through it quickly, but you get a lot of money out of it. Ashley part is my kryptonite - I died once there on one of my earlier attempts and went into it feeling uneasy from then on, even though it's trivial. Maxing out the damage on the Broken Butterfly and getting the exclusive with the ticket makes Verdugo a piece of cake. Mine section can get hairy if you don't deal with the TNT enjoyers - flash them, nade them, whatever it takes, they are priority even over the chainsaw ganados. Salazar is a pushover, just don't miss your egg throw(I did that once, still was a pushover with Broken Butterfly and rifle).
Island: pretty straightforward, just respect the first areas in Chapter 14. Fighting the first 2 regenerators without biosensor scope is not a brilliant idea though, don't do it. Of course, there is that one infamous part in Chapter 15 that is a nightmare on Professional difficulty, even if you prepare. I accidentally shot Ashley in the face the day before this run at that part, I felt the pain hard. I decided to flash the last ganado spawning in like in NMG speedruns, but that failed, so I just nade the regenerator and take my time with the guy grabbing Ashley. Wrecking ball is very simple, just check to make sure you have the heavy grenades, otherwise, use unupgraded Striker shots on the wall. Shooting range is a pain, because some weapons just suck, like the Punisher, TMP, and the Bolt Thrower. Hardest skulls to get are undeniably the one at the end of 1-A, where you basically have to preshoot to account for bullet travel, and the one hidden behind a barrel on the second barrel pirate wave of 4-C. Bolt Thrower stage is way simpler than I made it look, I fumbled the bag pretty hard with that, and the last attempt at 4:41:20 shows how you can clear that stage pretty easily. Krauser is BB and rifle food. 5-4 is pretty simple if you have the ammo. Saddler could have been cleaner but I rarely kill him with regular guns anyway. I got pretty scared when taking a hit on the Jetski, I never get hit there and the nerves were getting to me, thinking "imagine if I killed the run here and wasted a whole evening for this".
100% speedruns were never really a thing for the new generation of RE games, except for RE7 and for RE8 as a category extension. I can easily see this getting done under 4 hours, especially without the self-imposed no saving restriction, it puts extra tension on you. Maybe some RE4R runners see this and get the idea to run this, although I would leave it up to them if they wanted to do shooting range or not. Sadly it's hard to track treasures because of having to buy the treasure maps, and the only way you can quickly prove you have done it is to collect the last treasure, and then showing it on the map. Once you enter Castle, you can't show your treasure count of Village, and same applies showing Castle treasure on Island. Shooting Range is short and trackable but sucks(I'm looking at you, 1-A and Punisher).
