Описание: Oh sweet symphony of my life. Soren Jensen remixed my favourite JJ Barnes track. "Whatever Happened To Our Melody" is probably the best of all the twenty odd recordings I made with J.J. Barnes for Motorcity Records. A joyous piece of classic soul with an attitude and optimism which epitomises everything I could ever want to cram into one three minute single. I wrote the song for Eddie Holman, and J.J. recorded it in 1991. I love it now more than ever. We shot the video in Morecambe while he was appearing at the Togetherness Soul Weekender, at the same time as we also shot the video for "Talk Of The Grapevine" in 2002. J.J. reigns supreme, and, although while at Motown, he always lived in Marvin Gaye's footsteps, but then nobody could hold a candle to him. Right up to his death, he still sang as wonderfully as he did when he was twenty years old. J.J. Barnes, the singer who I wrote about at fifteen years old, proclaiming him to be the greatest soul singer in the world.
