How’s it going everyone?

I have always hated dragging my shop vac and Dust Deputy barrel around the shop. The hoses would cause the barrel to tip or come undone. After a lot of thinking about design and space in my shop, I decided to make a version of my own based loosely on Jay Bates and Paul Jackmans carts.

I have a small Ridgid 4gal vac that is more than powerful enough to work for the collection, so I just needed to get it up in the air above my 30gal barrel. I knew I wanted casters and something that would move easily yet fit snugly against a wall.

I used 3/4" oak plywood that I bought out of the clearance bin because a forklift had damaged it. For the construction, I used pocket holes, glue, and brad nails. After building this cart, I love moving it around the shop and out into the driveway on nice days. It is super handy and powerful.
