Spent the day walking around the iconic Faisal Masjid, the largest mosque in Pakistan, known for its unique tent-inspired design and stunning Margalla Hills backdrop. After exploring the peaceful grounds (and feeling just how hot the marble gets when you take your shoes off in the summer heat!), I also visited the nearby Mausoleum of General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq. Outside the mosque, local photographers captured our photos and even printed them instantly from a printer set up in the back seat of their car.
