I'm building what is known as a Tiny House, I've been putting together some videos of my projects outside of YouTube as per request from some of my subscribers so I thought a my door would serve well as both an example of a project and as inspiration for those who would like to do something similar. The door is crafted from pine and cherry with metal and glass elements. The frame is constructed with mortise and tenon joinery with 3 cherry panels. The lower panels are extensively carved with a texture and the upper panel has a speakeasy type door in it to act as a peep hole. It was more to ad a design element but having it as a way to look out is an added bonus and fun. The door frame is finished with a Olympic solid stain and the cherry panels with spar varnish. The dimensions of the door are 75X30 inches. It is hinged on 3 - 3 inch steel hinges. The door knob and hardware have not yet been installed (still thinking about options, leaning towards making my own)
