In this episode, SakiSue and I take a ride up to Max Patch via the Gulf Road, a forest road that leads from Grassy Fork, TN up through the Martha Sundquist State Forest. Along the way, there are plenty of offshoots to enjoy, lots of camping opportunities, and tons of fun.
I highly recommend this amazing drive up the mountain, but don't try it in a passenger car. A truck or SUV would be a basic necessity. 4 Wheel Drive may be necessary depending on weather and road conditions.
