Renowned American writer and historian Yuri Felshtinsky explained why he decided to write the book "Natalia Radina's Belarus: Journalist vs. Dictator." At the book launch , which took place at the Andrzej Wajda Center in Warsaw, he stated that Belarus is extremely important for Europe: "Looking at the map, it's perfectly clear that Belarus is Russia's gateway to Europe. In good times, it's a gateway for trade. But in bad times, unfortunately, like the ones we're living in now, it's a gateway for attack. And against the backdrop of the Russian-Ukrainian war, it's become clear that control over Belarus is, accordingly, a gateway for Russian invasion of Europe. It turns out that removing Belarus from Russian control, liberating Belarus from Russian occupation, and Belarus's accession to the EU and NATO resolves the issue of European security."

An American historian is confident that changing Lukashenko's regime is a simple task for Europe and Ukraine:

We often talk about the need for regime change in Russia. But I must tell you, as a historian, that changing the regime in Russia, where the state security service came to power as a result of a quiet coup in 2000, is a very difficult task. And if you look at it realistically, it's a task that will last for decades. I'm not one of those critics of Putin's regime who believes that once he's removed, everything will fall into place. I believe this problem is much more serious and profound. And if we approach it rationally, we should be addressing the issue not of regime change in Russia, but of regime change in Belarus. And this goal is absolutely reasonable and realistic. And it is achievable against the backdrop of Russia's war with Ukraine, and it is achievable with the forces Ukraine already has. Europe should have thought about this issue, looked at the map from time to time, and in 2020, for its part, helped the Belarusian people overthrow this regime.

The American historian is also confident that a strike on Moscow and a change in Lukashenko's regime are two conditions for ending Russia's war against Ukraine:

"The invasion of the Kursk region and Operation Spiderweb are far more difficult tasks than changing Lukashenko's regime. However, as we see, there is no political solution of this kind. Why it hasn't been made is another matter."

Regarding the strikes on Moscow, the only territory that determines anything in Russia is the Russian capital. You'd have to be a very unprofessional person (I don't want to say "idiot") not to understand this. Not only because Moscow accounts for 10% of the population, which is a significant amount, but also because all the millionaires, propagandists, and officials are in Moscow.

The most important thing is that when Wagner commander tweeted on April 24, 2023, that he was marching on Moscow, Putin had disappeared. The Russian capital was deserted; you can see footage of those days. Moscow was deserted. Military vehicles were driving around the city. Men in military uniforms were taking control of buildings that no one intended to attack. Therefore, if the goal is to stop this war, we must strike Moscow. There's no other way to bring Russia to the negotiating table. If the idea is to create a situation where forces emerge in Russia interested in overthrowing Putin's regime, they can only rise up if Moscow is struck.
