I recruit a 7th mercenary, just in time to track down a band of 7 thieves who stole someone's crystal skull. I'm sure this apparently magical artifact won't cause any problems at all down the line!
I'm steadily learning the combat system. It's simple, but brutal. If you attack an enemy while other friendlies are adjacent, you get the "Surrounded" bonus which helps on accuracy. Ranged units can fire over friendlies, but only if they're right next to them. Fatigued troops often can't attack, so you've gotta be careful how much you use them. Fatigue also affects their place in the turn order, which is tricky to work around.
