The situation with work credits for eligibility for Social Security differs with each person. More specifically, with the age of the person. The younger you are, generally the fewer credits you need, and as you get older credits required increase. So for instance if you are 21 years old and you become disabled you would need about 20 credits. Once you get up in the 50s or the 60s even then you would need about 40 work credits to be eligible for the Social Security Disability.
Indiana Social Security disability attorney, Sondra Burger, of the Charles D. Hankey Law Office, discusses the factors that affect credit amounts. For more information, please visit http://www.hankeylawoffice.com/social...
