The glittering prize has been touring the world since setting off from New York in January, visiting 19 other nations along the way. As it made its return to the USA by sea just two weeks before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup™ 2025, the trophy was chaperoned by Seattle Sounders FC club ambassador Brad Evans and the team’s beloved mascot, Sammy the Sounder.

The trophy’s spectacular nautical arrival for its four-day stop in Seattle marked a significant moment for the city. Its Major League Soccer (MLS) team is among the 32 qualifiers for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, while the Emerald City’s 69,000-capacity Lumen Field will also stage six matches, including the Sounders’ three group games.
