Another Sequel Wars release means another round of surprise Teuthida purist covers, and this month's major update was no exception. What began as a @forple8930 original eventually fell upon my shoulders as real life's demands crept up on him, making this one of the few joint collabs in the soundtrack (the only other one being, to the best of my knowledge, MM5's purist boss theme).

Even though I ended up writing the majority of the cover, Forple's starting frames were exactly the sort of motivation I needed to hammer out the module before the 23rd. This was the very last piece of audio data ever produced for Episode Red (even beating out late additions like Roll's broom sound effects), and creeping ROM constraints encouraged me to take a more spartan approach to the arrangement than my typical fare—a quick glance at the module file will quickly reveal that I saved my pitch slides and vibrato for only the most deserving of notes. As a result, what was the largest song in the game's modern soundtrack has become one of the purist soundtrack's smallest.
