Sheriff: Roblox, Snapchat, grooming led to kidnapping of South Florida sisters by Nebraska man

Описание: A 1,500-mile journey from Omaha, Nebraska, and months of grooming on Roblox led to the kidnapping of two Indiantown sisters, Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek revealed Monday.

"We're dealing with a type of abduction," Sheriff Budensiek said. "I know these girls went willingly, but their age suggested that they had been taken."

Investigators say the interaction between the suspect, 19-year-old Hser Mu Lah Say of Omaha, and the girls, ages 12 and 15, began in the summer of 2025 on the gaming platform Roblox. The communication later reportedly moved to Snapchat.

"In the communications that we did see, there was romantic conversation, nothing sexually explicit that we found yet, but keep in mind, there's a lot of work to be done," Budensiek said. "We're still going through those devices. We recovered his device and have a search warrant on his device, so we'll see what was in there."
