This wasn't a super popular game but has one of the greatest soundtracks ever. I've been listening to the full 3 hour long soundtrack from the YT channel "Legaia Fan" for several years now, as the soundtrack to my daily life. I convinced several of my friends that there is no better music to listen to while gathered around a campfire out in the remote wilderness during a camp trip. I mean we've probably spent like 50+ hours just listening to the Legaia soundtrack while sitting around a fire over the past few years.

I've also found some of the tracks to be so great for focusing on work projects and other simple tasks like cleaning the house, cooking, etc. But the problem is, the songs are all in random order! Peaceful travel song, then a nice calm village song, and suddenly a blaring battle song with chaotic clashing tones... So, I spent hours pouring over every track from Legend of Legaia, and organizing them into categories.

This video contains all of the categories I've segmented each track into (except for combat music), based on themes that I have totally made up based on years of my feelings of listening to this music. I understand some songs may not actually correspond to what they were in the game, for example I might have a town song marked as an "Exploration" track. The goal was mostly to organize the more relaxing songs away from the combat and dance music.

The dance music is pretty awesome, but definitely a different vibe from the rest of the fantasy realm tracks. There is a somewhat bizarre dance dance revolution style minigame in Legaia which is where the dance tracks come from.

As for the art, hopefully it's obvious this is all AI generated and not original game art from 1998. These are scenes I imagined up descriptions of based on the feelings evoked in me from the songs. The AI which created all of these images is Adobe Firefly.
