Описание: We did not have the best weather while we were camping in Denali in August/September this year but we had some good wildlife sightings. In this case we were hiking along the road just east of Sable Pass near some of the little tributaries of Igloo Creek. Marilyn spotted these bears, an adult female and her two cubs, I think they are cubs of the year, feeding on the slope a little bit above us. It was not a good year for blueberries in Denali so it seems these bears were busy stripping leaves from the plants and other shrubs. We watched them for more than an hour. At times, one or both cubs would take a short nap. But the adult was always active and alert. At one point she noticed something up the ravine and, without any obvious communication, summoned her cubs and moved them farther up the slope. From that same location on the road, but on the opposite side and a little more distant, we spotted another adult female with her two large yearling, or maybe even two-year-old, cubs. They were not much smaller than their mother. While it is nowhere near the density of bears at places like McNeil River, it was still nice to see six bears at one time in Denali.
