I messed up a bit at the beginning, to be honest you don't need/shouldn't bring pierce ammo vs Tigrex, there's no need for it. To get Normal S Lv3, combine Huskberries with Rumblefish, you can buy them from the Granny Peddler, her cheap price is 19z, when you combine them you'll make 2~4 each time unless you have something like the armor set I made for the bow video, check that one out. And that damn blango... ugh... lol feel free to use some of the flash bomb time to kill any blangos in the area.

I bought the Normal S Lv3 from the shop lady.... but I'm pretty sure she doesn't sell them until after you kill Tigrex, fortunately that doesn't make them too hard to get before then.

Use the trap to shoot 2 clust shots at the beginning if you can/want. Then just start flashing him until he's dead. Use all of your Normal 3 shots, switch to Normal 2 at the end. With Normal 3, aim for his chest area, the bullet will ricochet after impact, and will deal more damage that way, Tigrex is pretty resistant to bullets in general, so, it doesn't matter too much where he's hit, of course his weakest spots are his head and his hind legs, so focus on them when you can otherwise.

At the end, if you're wondering, kicking him to wake him up is a lot faster than shooting him and changing weapons. I guess you probably could've shot him and then sheathed before he finished his wake up animation, but if you were to stagger him, you wouldn't have time. I was just playing it safe.

I meant to check how much health he had at the end but I forgot, he can have from 2400-3200 health, which is quite a big gap. I'm not sure where this Tigrex' health was, your fight might be easier or harder, unfortunately. You should have plenty of supplies though even if he has tons of health.
