Some people might think we’re crazy for building a greenhouse in the middle of winter… but if we want to be growing food this spring, there’s no time to wait.

In this video, we push through the cold and snow to make major progress on our greenhouse build. We get the final section of the side wall sealed up, build the entire front wall, frame in the door, and install it — and for the first time, it’s really starting to look like a greenhouse.

Off-grid living isn’t always convenient, and projects don’t stop just because the temperatures drop. Every step we take now brings us closer to a more self-sufficient lifestyle and a longer growing season.
