In this clip from the eMoto Show, we break down the big OEM question marks. KTM appears to be pausing their electric dirt bike plans for now. It’s not gone forever, but it’s not coming in 2026 either.

At the same time, Yamaha is quietly moving forward with the YE01. The prototype is currently a YZF chassis with an electric powertrain, and while we don’t expect it to launch in 2026 (2027 feels more realistic), development is happening. Yamaha has invested in Electric Motion to support the powertrain, which tells us they’re serious.
