Описание: Self portrait is an art of observing oneself and the ongoing observation is recorded on canvas, paper, clay etc with a display of skill, style and expression of the attempt of knowing oneself in totality. The artist here depicts their self image in either a realistic or expressive manner taking some creative liberties.

Hina Bhatt Art Ventures is happy to bring forth, yet again, an event to collectively explore the important but less discussed subject of Self Portrait. Our event SELF PORTRAIT-LIVE will present the views of various artists on self portraiture and also the share artworks of the artists who have explored this subject in their own unique style. We would be presenting the views of artists from different backgrounds, belief systems, level of experience and age groups. During the event we will also be inviting few guest artists to talk on the History of Self Portraits, give tips on the process of Self Portraits and share demos. We will also be inviting artists to go live for demos and interactions.

This event also expects artists from all categories to attempt creating a self portrait live from observing their reflections in a mirror or any other reflective surface and experience both subjective and objective observation of oneself and paint themselves while observing themselves spontaneously. The representation of the Self Portrait maybe realistic or creative- (this choice we leave to the individual artists, the entries received will be awarded in both the categories).
