Dynacord Twen II with NOS Telefunken and RCA Tubes: 1974 rare vintage guitar tube amp delivers!

Описание: In this video, I’m demonstrating the Dynacord Twen II vintage tube amp from 1974, featuring its rich tones with a 12-inch stock speaker. Paired with an Aria Pro 2 "Mad Axe" guitar, I explore various effects, including a spring reverb from the AMT TH-1 Tube Hall pedal and a Pearl PH-03 phase shifter. The sound is captured using a Uher M516 microphone and recorded on a Yamaha MT-50 4-track cassette recorder using a Sony CDit II tape, with light EQ applied during the transfer.

🔌 About the Dynacord Twen II vintage tube amp:
There is some documentation about the Dynacord Twen (a legendary model that Johan Segeborn has featured once or twice), but there's not much content covering the Dynacord Twen 2. I absolutely love it, and the 12-inch stock speaker delivers more than enough in both volume and frequency range. The tremolo could have more character but I think that mine just needs to be serviced for optimal operation.
The amp, made in Germany in 1974, is equipped in this video with Telefunken, RCA, and Dynacord tubes (specifically two 12AX7s, two clear glass 6V6GTs, and one EZ81).
It's great with guitars and Rhodes-like or even Wurlitzer pianos. I think I'll demonstrate this in a future video.

🎸 About the Aria Pro 2 "Mad Axe" Guitar:
HSS Stratocaster-like model. It has great tuning stability and sustain, but the stock pickups are weak. I replaced all of them, except for the neck pickup, which sounded fine and especially warm to me. The color seems a bit unusual for this series; I only found one other model with that shade of green (though some might say it's blue—the debate will forever remain open).

Phase shifter: Japanese Pearl PH-03 pedal (1980s). The "feedback" knob is truly unique and seems to be adding some interesting filtering effects.

🎤 About the Uher M516 microphone:
A great vintage reporter microphone made in Germany at the end of the sixties. It can handle a high volume while maintaining precision and capturing the room's atmosphere. Mine now has a standard mono jack plug instead of its original factory DIN connector. I also own the M512 but have yet to find substantial differences between them. Interesting and flexible "speech / music" embedded selector.
