The Role of Mediation Diplomacy and Media in the Middle East

Описание: On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF)’s Asia and Middle East Unit, Group 1 (Strategic Dialogue and Exchange Program) hosted a public seminar, welcoming Dr. Ezzeddine Abdulmoula - Research Manager, and Mr. Haoues Taguia - Head of Gulf and International Research, from the Al Jazeera Centre for Studies.

In their lectures, the speakers provided expert insights into the escalation of the conflict in Gaza, Qatar’s mediation diplomacy, and the distinctive characteristics of Al Jazeera’s news coverage.
They also examined the historical and political factors underlying regional tensions, and discussed Qatar’s diplomatic role through concrete case studies.

SPF will continue to promote programs that foster dialogue and mutual understanding with the Middle East, including the development of intellectual networks with Qatar.
