Join Veronique on a journey through the process of tea harvesting and production. The tea fields of Sanxia are known for a special kind of Green Spiral (Biluochun) Tea that’s picked right as two leaves emerge from one sprout. The leaves are then rested for eight hours, sorted, and roasted at 280℃ for five minutes before being pressed and dried. This unoxidized green tea has a light green color and a refreshing taste. Leafhopper Honey Black Tea is named for the insects which gives the leaves their distinctive honey flavor. Jinxuan is a variety of Taiwanese oolong that is known for a light, creamy and floral taste. Tieguanyin is a rare variety of black tea that’s roasted in lieu of a traditional fermentation process. Wenshan Baozhong Tea is different in terms of its needle-like shape and floral aftertaste.
