STORYLINE
Roni Bar-On, Israel's Finance Minister was touring the Southern Israeli town of Ashkelon on Monday, when a rocket alert was heard.
His body guards immediately sheltered him and took him away in an armoured car.
People in the area where the alert occurred tried to take shelter to avoid an attack.
Roni Bar-On emerged from the vehicle, along with his security guards, when it became clear that no attack was imminent.
Bar-On arrived at the town on Monday to show his support for residents who have been living under the threat of rocket attacks.
