Akayla is a high-octane Bollywood action drama featuring Amitabh Bachchan as Inspector Vijay Verma, a fearless yet lonely cop whose only emotional support is his younger brother Ajay, studying abroad. Vijay’s mission to clean up the crime-ridden city leads him to arrest the dangerous criminal mastermind Jojo Braganza. However, Jojo is released due to his corrupt lawyer's manipulation in court.

The story takes a thrilling turn as Vijay becomes determined to bring Jojo to justice. But things get complicated when Vijay discovers that Jojo has an identical twin brother, Tony Braganza, who helps him evade the law by taking his place during crimes. This revelation sets the stage for a deadly game of cat and mouse.

When Tony kills Vijay’s close friends Shekhar and Seema, the personal stakes rise. Grieving and broken, Vijay finds solace in Sapna, a kind-hearted nightclub dancer. Their emotional bond gives Vijay new strength as he prepares for a final confrontation.
