It's very common in medical practice that pregnant ladies report in clinics with the complaint that they like to eat soil,raw rice, papers, ice ,coal,lead pencils etc in pregnancy.
When doctors examine the patient the patient looks very pale, tired ,breathless, weakness and pain all over the body.
Usually blood CP is a test of choice in such ladies.
Due to anaemia these patients like such foods which are not healthy.
As oral iron or parental iron started the patients stop eating such things.
If HP levels are less than 8 then blood transfusion is recommended.
With good HB levels these patients refused to take such foods.
So it's better to encourage them to eat healthy food and build HB levels with the help of diet and medicines.
Stop conflict with the patients because they are eating such things due to less HB levels in their body.
