Short ride on the all new 2023 Specialized Levo SL with the updated 50Nm motor. This all new SL motor exceeded my expectations. I've ridden the Pivot Shuttle SL with the Fazua 60Nm motor and the Trek EXe with the 50Nm TQ motor. The updated Levo SL motor "feels" like it has the most torque compared to these other mid power motors. The SL motor is very quiet - not quite to TQ motor level but still way quieter than the full power Brose 2.2 motor in my Kenevo or Levo Expert models. I did not weigh the Levo SL but it feels like it might be 40~41 lbs - feels very light.
I really like full power E-MTB's. While I enjoyed the lightweight and acoustic bike feel of the Gen 1 Levo SL the 35Nm motor did not have enough assist for my needs. This Gen 2 Levo SL still has an acoustic lightweight feel and with the 50Nm updated motor feels like there is enough assist for my needs...maybe my first mid power lightweight E-MTB in the near future!
