We don’t get to visit Greenbelt 5 often, but every time we do—it feels like a breath of fresh air in the middle of busy Makati. This time, my husband and I had a quick 2-hour window to explore, eat, and enjoy a spontaneous mini date while doing errands in the city.



First stop: Lawson near Legazpi! We stumbled upon the viral Iced Matcha Latte that blew up on TikTok last year—and yes, I finally got to try it! 🌟 Thick, earthy, just the right amount of sweetness, and perfectly paired with their fried siopao (oily but delicious and sulit!). I tried it again at another branch and noticed the taste varies depending on where you get it.



Then we headed to Greenbelt 5, one of my favorite lifestyle destinations in the metro. We discovered Honolulu Café, which I’ve been meaning to try for the longest time. Everything we ordered was a hit: 🥯 Pork Bun – Soft, flavorful, baked to perfection


🥚 Egg Tart – Buttery crust, creamy filling


🍖 Toro Rice (BBQ Pork Asado) – Smoky, tender, dipped in hoisin sauce...SO good!


🐟 Fish in Corn Sauce – That signature Chinese flavor, comforting and unique


☕ Hong Kong Style Coffee – Strong, bold, refreshing


After our meal, we visited the chapel to say a prayer for our loved ones, then strolled around the Greenbelt Park, which always feels peaceful and relaxing. For dessert, we dropped by Apt BLK 513—a café version of our favorite frozen yogurt place! Although I already had coffee, I couldn’t resist their limited edition Pistachio Oat White Chocolate Sauce on froyo. It was really good, but I’m still team Spice Cookie Caramel 2.0! 😄


💖 It was a short but meaningful hangout in one of our favorite Makati spots. We’ll definitely be back!
