Описание: The White Mountains of Crete is a unique mountain range unlike any other in the world. At an altitude of 2000 meters they form an alpine desert, with an otherworldly scenery. The terrain is dark full of dips, potholes and craters, while the mountaintops are strikingly white, because of the limestone. This unique geological formations create a trully incredible lunar landscape, that enchants any who will hike there.

The journey continues in Season 2, where we go to places overlooked or we go off trail to rediscover locations long forgotten. Emphasis is given at the historical and cultural importance of the routes and the life that once was in these mountains. In the span of 14 episodes we will trek in the alpine desert, reach the most extraordinary peaks, visit breathtaking gorges and go beyond the clouds.

This is the second day of the Crossing. We followed the E4 heading to Potamos, passing by Klisidia Mitato and Pirou Mitato. Then we cross Plakoseli and climb to Melidaou. We continue heading west to reach the dirtroad at Poria. Then an easy hike on the dirtroad follows , passing by Kallergi Shelter and finally reaching Omalos Plateau.
