Anthony Cianflone highlights that the Metro Tunnel, opening in December 2025 a year ahead of schedule, represents the biggest transformation to Melbourne’s rail system in a generation, unlocking faster journeys, better connections and hundreds of new services, with five brand-new world-class stations — Arden, Parkville, State Library, Town Hall and Anzac.
