Turkish Fried Calzone:

Ingredients for Dough

Flour 3 cups
Clarified butter 3 tbsp
Salt ½ tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Yeast 1 tsp
Water to knead as required

Ingredients for Filling

Cooked mince 200 gm
Capsicum ½ finely chopped
Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
Green chilies 2 finely chopped
Salt and pepper ½ tsp each
Onion ½ cup
Oil 2 tbsp
Sweet corn 3 tbsp

Ingredients for cooked mince

Mince 200 gm
Oil 1-2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Red Chili powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder ½ tsp
Turmeric 2 pinch
Blended tomato 1
All spices powder

Method for dough

• Put all the ingredients together in a bowl and knead well.
• Let it rise for a while.
• Make small balls of the dough.
• Take each ball and roll into a small saucer size, wet the edges, put filling in center and turn into a calzone shape.
• Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.

Method for cooked mince
• In a wok, add all oil and all the spices except all spices powder.
• Then add the mince and cook it well.
• In the end add all spices powder for added taste.


Method for filling

• In the earlier prepared mince, add in all the ingredients for filling.
• Mix well and fill in the calzone.
