গাজীপুরে ঝুট ব্যবসার বিরোধকে কেন্দ্র করে দুই গ্রুপের মধ্যে সংঘর্ষ, গুলি ও ককটেল বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। এ সময় অস্ত্রের মহড়া দিয়ে হামলা চালিয়ে ঝুট বোঝাই একটি ট্রাক ও ব্যবসায়ীর কাছ থেকে প্রায় তিন লাখ টাকা লুটের অভিযোগ উঠেছে। হামলার সময় একটি মোটরসাইকেলেও আগুন ধরিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। শনিবার বেলা ১১টার দিকে বাসন মহানগরীর বাসন ভিটিপাড়া এলাকায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
