This stylish 1970 Simplicity Sovereign 3314H Custom Garden Tractor w/ custom trailer is super cool. These models are relativity rare especially in restored condition. Simplicity Manufacturing Company is an American company based in Port Washington, Wisconsin that builds lawn and garden equipment under various brands. The company was founded by William J. Niederkorn in 1922 and started building walk-behind two-wheeled tractors in 1939. Between 1941 and 1945, due to World War II, Simplicity Manufacturing temporarily halted production of lawn and garden products. They built their first riding tractor in 1957 which the model was named Wonderboy. The company rapidly expanded its product line in the sixties to meet the demands of the population shift to American suburbs. Simplicity's 100+ year history has been filled with innovation, perseverance and premium quality product. This example was restored roughly 20 years ago by a gentleman named Joe Lopez who lives in Felton, Delaware. Joe owned a body shop and had passion for vintage lawn mowers. He understood this was a seldom seen garden tractor and his vision was crate a one-of-a-kind piece. His vision also included a custom matching trailer. Joe went hard to work and his vision was brought to life. Since completion it's been operated occasionally but mostly used as a display piece. Joe decided to sell his lawn mower collection and it was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in January of 2025. May of 2025 is the first time it's been listed for sale.

This 55- year old example is in show quality condition throughout. It presents very nicely but it's not concours. The entire tractor was stripped to bare metal, prepped and refinished with automotive grade paint. It was redone in the factory colors of white and orange. The creamy white color dresses the hood, front nose grille, headlight buckets and wheels. The deep orange color dresses the chassis, base, fenders, air cleaner cover and mower deck. The aggressive front end with covered dual headlights is an iconic design of this year and model which collectors adore. The paint was recently detailed to a brilliant shine. Some of the original items include the sheet metal, headlights, steering wheel, levers, front wheel covers, seat, mower deck and stickers. Some of the custom features include a Mack Bulldog hood ornament, volt meter gauge, tire pressure gauge, 8 balls on the steering wheel, throttle and lever, chrome fire extinguisher, drink holder, Harley Davidson leather tool kit, chrome trim around seat, rear lights (which aren't wired), oversized rear tires, rear reflective tape, rubber mats and miscellaneous stickers. The tractor is powered by the original 14HP Briggs and Stratton 531cc 1-cyl gasoline engine. This engine was never rebuilt because it runs very strong. The engine was serviced, painted and original carburetor was rebuilt. The engine breathes through a custom chrome exhaust pipe that sounds awesome. The engine is coupled to a hydrostatic transmission with independent mid PTO and mechanical idler pulley clutch. It's equipped with manual steering and a 48” mower deck. It has a 12-volt system with electric start and Delco-Remy generator. It rolls on Hi-Run 16x6.50-8 front tires and 23x10.50-12 rear tires. The battery is setup with a power cut-off knob and trickle charger cord for storage.

The custom made trailer was painted with matching colors and was outfitted with a solo leather seat. It rolls on matching painted wheels and Armstrong 4.80/4.00-8 tires. It sports a custom center mounted 1970 license plate. The tires are dry rotted and would need replacing prior to any usage. This tractor and trailer are being sold with a Bill of Sale only.
