Описание: What an AMAZING experience! Emerald Charters is a top notch outfit! Booking your trip online is a breeze. Renting any tanks/gear from Jupiter Scuba is also super easy. You simply show up at the location under the bridge and all your stuff is there and waiting for you. They put you on the boat, and after a short ride out to the first dive site, you are ready to rock and roll. They stress safety before, during and after the dive. The dive briefing is thorough and exciting – they really pump you up for what you are about to do and see. Once everyone is ready to go, they line you up for a negative entry and everyone jumps in the water like paratroopers exiting a plane. Remember…. You are diving into the ocean, specifically looking for sharks (wild animals) and there is no guarantee that they will show up. On this particular three-dive-day we only saw sharks on our second dive. The first and last dives were sharkless. While this was a bummer, I still had a first and third dive and any day I am in the ocean – it is a good day. While there were no sharks on those dives, we did get to see some INCREDIBLE wrecks, Goliath Groupers, and tons of other sea creatures. In addition, all dives were drift dives, so whether there are sharks are not – you get to experience the beauty and exhilaration of a blue water drift dive. Now, on to the second dive – the SHARKS! I will start by saying I have done several shark dives, mostly in Mexico, and they were all, borderline, life changing. This shark dive with Emerald Charters is hands down my favorite of them all. The experience is LITERALLY life changing. The best word to describe this dive was surreal. Once the Dive Master was able to attract our first shark, a big Bull Shark, the rest were not far behind. Another Bull joined us at about 90’ and we started to slowly ascend. The two Bulls followed us up, circling slowly at our feet. Once we got to about 30’ we were joined by 4 6-8 foot Lemon Sharks. One of them was the infamous “Miss Snooty”. We spent the next 15 minutes surrounded by 4 Lemons and 2 Bulls. While the Bulls were shy, the Lemons were ANYTHING but. They were not following the 6-foot COVID protocols to say the least. They were literally swimming between our legs, bumping in to us and starring us directly in the eyes. Everything slowed down and all that existed was the sharks. No jobs, no stress, no bills – just sharks. The Lemons followed us all the way back to the boat after our safety stop and “sweetly” escorted us back on to the dive boat. I sat on the surface interval totally in awe and desperate to get back in the water. Dive Master Chris was an amazing Shark Whisperer. Captain Lee was kind and safety minded. The deck hand was cool and attentive. All in all, the day was a HUGE success and I can NOT wait to dive with Emerald again – SOON!!
