A presentation on the identification and interpretation of the 1823 Nashville toll bridge, a wooden arch covered bridge designed by Lewis Wernwag, which served as one of the transit links in the Trail of Tears (Indian Removal Acts of the 1830s and 40s). By Christopher H. Marston of the Historic American Engineering Record.
