Fishing Sunrise to Sunset on the Northumberland coast

Описание: Over the Christmas break, I set off up to Northumberland in search of Cod. Having watched the weather forecast like a hawk for weeks, it was hit and miss whether it would be fishable or not. Regardless, I set off up North and arrived around 10am, where 70mph winds were battering the coast.

This video is day 2 of that trip. Today we started off on a rock mark known as the doctors house, however the swells proved to be too much and we were struggling to retrieve our gear. We decided after an hour to move half a mile further up the coast to a mark known as Cullernose point, a mark where we could setup above the swells and the moved paid off producing plenty of fish from the get go. The plan was always to move to a different mark for the evening high tide, maybe we should have stayed put, who knows that's the thing with sea fishing. But we decided to stick to the plan and move marks. Our intended mark looked a bit sketchy when we arrived. As this was my last session of the trip, and unsure if we were going to get washed off or not, we chose to fish instead on Lynemouth beach. Fishing was slow until darkness fell and the tide turned, then the Cod came on the feed.
