Chinese Premier Li Peng denied on Friday (14/3) that Beijing had tried to influence US officials with large election campaign donations.
Li spoke to reporters after the fifth session of the eighth National People's Congress in Beijing. Delegates endorsed the Provisional Legislature which will initially run Hong Kong after Britain hands it back to China in July.
