Описание: WorkAid - offers FREE countywide services to employers and individuals with learning disabilities and autism, to gain and sustain employment.

CLIENTS: Our Work Preparation programme is designed to help people who are keen to work but need extra support to reach their employment goals. The programme is tailored to the individual and can include: Travel Training, Personal Presentation, CV Development, Interview Techniques, Work Experience and Health & Safety.

We will work with you to agree a learning plan that can run up to 12 months, depending on your individual needs. On completion of the programme, you will have gained the confidence and skills to search for work and be eligible to progress to our Supported Employment service, a programme for people who are work-ready. An Employment Consultant will support you with job searching, completing applications, attending interviews, learning your journey to work and job coaching when you start your job. They can also give information on Benefits and provide advice and assistance for your new employer.

EMPLOYERS: WorkAid offers FREE support to employers and works in partnership with them, to match the needs of their business to the skills of our clients. By giving advice and coaching on disability awareness, we support employers to meet their Corporate Social Responsibilities and enhance their business’s reputation as an Employer of Choice. We provide job coaching to help employees learn and develop, including supporting our clients on apprenticeships.

WorkAid also offers a job retention service, where we help employers and employees resolve performance and other issues in the workplace (whether or not we were involved in the initial recruitment).
Our clients work in a range of local and national organisations, and commercial businesses. We assist employers to establish a diverse workforce and increase turnover with creative job carving.
