Food Storage: Freeze Dried Blueberries

Описание: Freeze-dried blueberries are one of the easiest things I have done so far in our freeze dryer. I simply purchased a 5-pound bag of frozen blueberries and spread them out on a tray. A day and a half later they were done and ready to be packaged.

Blueberry Coffee Cake

2 cups whole wheat flour
2/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
¼ cup oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups freeze-dried blueberries
¼ cup sliced almonds

Combine all ingredients and bake in a 9” x 13” pan at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until done. You can thin the batter with a little bit of milk if you prefer. Or you can reconstitute the blueberries. We like it thick.
