HOW TO SOAP | easy method for bible study & prayer |

Starting your spiritual journey can be hard, especially when you are not sure how to read and understand your bible. This video is just for you. I learned about the SOAP method during a camping trip with my youth group. Its so easy and a great way to organized you thoughts while reading the bible.

SOAP stands for:

Scripture (pick your favorite verse(s)?
Observation (what did you get from your readings?)
Application (how can you apply your reading to your life?)
Prayer(what would you like to ask God to help you with after reading?)

How much time you spend doing your soap's is up to you. You can take 15 minutes or even an hour. Just be sure that you are taking the time to dwell and meditate on God's word.

MY ADVICE: Before opening you bible ask God to open you mind & heart and speak directly to you. Ask him for an understanding on what you are reading and how it can apply to your life today.

Taking time out to understand God's words is very important throughout your spiritual journey. Any problem, situation, circumstance, or advice you may need can be found in the bible.

Take a few minutes out of your day to spend with God. He's the best listener and teacher we can ever have.
