The story of my day spectating the launch of the new Arran ferry MV Glen Sannox. It's taken me a while to get around to editing this video!
The day started in the Victoria Harbour in Greenock on board the Clyde Clipper with the Clyde Marine tugs departing as they headed for Ferguson's at Port Glasgow before the Clipper followed in their footsteps and headed for Port Glasgow passing the James Watt Dock. The Clipper then sat off Ferguson's as the launch took place with the Glen Sannox sliding into the Clyde before the tugs did their work and placed the Sannox alongside the quay at Port Glasgow, with the wind blowing the Sannox kept getting pushed away from the Quay so the small tug Beaver Bay assisted by pushing the Sannox at midships into the quayside. Once she was alongside the tugs departed, celebrating by showing the crowd their maneuverability before they and the Clyde Clipper headed back to the Victoria Harbour.
