Located on the banks of the McKenzie River in Springfield, PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend has become one of Oregon's busiest hospitals.
The 351-bed facility is one of the largest hospitals between Portland and San Francisco, serving as a Level II Trauma Center for an eight-county region.
With the addition of three pediatric surgeons since 2013, RiverBend is now the only hospital outside of the Portland area to offer pediatric surgery.
Other key services include pediatric and adult cardiology, cardiovascular surgery and rehabilitation, stroke treatment, childbirth, neonatal intensive care, a hyperbaric center, gamma knife, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, a sleep disorders clinic, cancer care, pediatric/adolescent care, bariatric surgery and other surgical services.
